· Revise the ambient temperature for testingmaintained at 15C +/- 2C (was previously 0C – 15C – clause11.101) and res separated into “controlled appliance” and“other”, Controlled appliance’s temperature shall not exceed 50 °Cduring first hour (previously 60 °C) and other appliance’stemperature rise shall not exceed 33 K during the firsthour,
· During abnormal testing a failure of anelectronic switch can occur provided that the appliance compliancewith temperature limits. Controlled appliance’s temperature shallnot exceed 60 °C (blankets and mattresses) or 85 °C (pads). Otherappliance’s temperature rise shall not exceed 43 K (blankets andmattresses) or 60 K (pads). (cl 19.13 and19.111),
· Construction re – text change tomanually operated switch (was manual switch). Additionalclarification that switches with little or no movement of thecontact surface require two manual operations to switch on. (Cl22.112).
